Born Ronald Knight Georgi on Dec 12, 1963 and from Novi Sad Serbia, former Yugoslavia. The world knows him as Jason Knight ECW’s “Sexiest Man On Earth” or just simply Jason. Jason was born to A Dmitriyevich , a model, actress, interpreter and renowned jewelry designer from Novi Sad Serbia and Kamal Georgi, a journalist and Egyptian ambassador from Alexandria Egypt of Greek decent . While his father was stationed in Cairo Egypt, Jason’s mother was sent to Beirut Lebanon, as the medical facility was deemed superior in its day. Anka would return to Novi Sad Serbia with her young son in 1964 and register him as a citizen due to a clerical era his birth year was officially listed as 1964. Due to travel , Jason’s parents relationship was turbulent, at the age of 7, Jason and his mother left London and returned to Novi Sad And his parents divorced.
Jason was mentored by his beloved Grandfather who was a decorated military veteran . Anka took work as an interpreter on the movie sets as Yugoslavia was a hub at the time for American made films.
it is there she met and fell in love with film director Ray Kelloge, best friend of actor John Ford. Ray was director of the cult classic THE KILLER SHREWS, but reknowned as assistant director for John Wayne’s THE GREEN BARETS. His other credits included director for the military scenes in CLEOPATRA & TORA TORA TORA . Ray & Anka became engaged and in 1975 he arranged for her to come to the United States. Sadly Ray would pass away a month later due to cancer. Anka a single mother in a new country decided to pave a way for herself and became a jewelry designer in Manhattan, New York. a strong independent woman, she sent for her son in 1977.
Jason attended school in New York and at the age of 17 followed in his grandfathers footsteps and joined the military in Yugoslavia. Serving 2 years as he was still a citizen. receiving an honorable discharge as a sergeant..
in the United States in 1977, Jason returned to Serbia to serve two years in the Yugoslavian Army.
He would return to the United States and became a US citizen in 1987 holding duel citizenship in Serbia & The United States. Jason returned to England briefly while working as a model for Royal Air. it was during this time his father urged him to work for the embassy in London, but Jason’s heart already belonged to wrestling.
Jason was trained in professional wrestling by Bobby Bold Eagle & Johnny Rodz,
at the world famous Gleason Gym.. In the early days Jason trained ECW IRONMAN Tommy Cairo . Finding himself in Florida Jason was in the right place at the right time and booked by Kevin Sullivan for WCW , first match, Mike Rotunda. From that point on Jason was a favorite of top bookers landing matches with sone of the most well respected wrestlers of his time. Rick Flair, Undertaker as ”Mean Mark”, Sid Vicious , Lex Luger, Micheal Hayes and many more .
Jason‘s early work in WCW & WWF goes largely uncredited on many wrestling websites and bios, but can be enjoyed on YouTube . His ability to wrestle and sell made him well sought after .
PAUL HAYMEN, ECW , JAPAN, & COMEBACK
After a back surgery in the early 90s during a break from wrestling, Jason received a call from
Paul Haymen.
Haymen wanted Jason to work with ECW, then Eastern Championship Wrestling. His first match with The Public Enemy vs Jason knight & Ian Rotten. This proved to Jason that two months after a back surgery was not enough time to heal.
Not wanting to loose Jason, Paul had a plan, Jason was about to become a manager and a heel at that. Thus was born
JASON , “The Sexiest Man On Earth”. For
the record it’s wasn‘t “In The World” or “Alive” it was “On Earth“ and Paul would correct you if he heard otherwise .
Jason would become the mouth piece for THE PITBULLS, THE ELIMINATORS , THE IMPACT PLAYERS , and others . Unlike many managers Jason could wrestle and unlike his self indulged alter ego, he never minded whatever it took to make a match look good win or loose.Keep the crowd entertained and wanting more.
Behind the scenes, Jason was encouraging and giving the new talent their try outs in ECW. In between stints in the ECW ring Jason was wrestling in hardcore matches in Japan with the WING promotion and BIG JAPAN .
Eastern Championship Wrestling became Extreme Championship Wrestling on Sept 2, 1994 according to the Pennsylvania Sec Of State website. The next show was Sept 20th, 1994, the first match Jason Knight vs Rockin’ Rebel. This means Jason was the first match ushering in the “EXTREME” era.
Jason would go on that year to become the ECW Television Champion defeating Mikey Whipwreck. Jason Knight is officially THE FIRST EXTREME ERA ECW TELEVISION HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.
ASSAULT CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING
By the end of tECW , Jason launched ACW ASSAULT CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING for the first time in Connecticut. Known as the mini ECW Jason booked such talent as New Jack, Balls Mahoney, Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere, Axl Rotten, Chris Candito & Tammy, Angel Orsini, Danny Doring, Kidd Cash, Chris Hamrick, Bill Alfonso, Joel Gertner, Missy Hyatt , Tony Divito, Mercedes Martinez, Velvet Sky (Talia), Slick Wagner Brown & April Hunter, James Maritato (Nunzio), Mike Bell, Fred Sr & Fred Jr Curry, Ron Zombie, & Dylan Kage.
The first run of AWC & Jason’s school
House Of Pain closed in 2004.
Jason continued to make appearances here and there, before taking a hiatus after the WWE 2007 ECW Pay per view.
In 2023, after attending an INDY match in New Jersey, Jason realized he was needed once more. He decided to relaunch his ACW promotion and began teaching again, this time in his wife, Desiree’s home state of New Jersey. IMPACT CENTRAL PRO WRESTLING DOJO opens April 1, 2025 at 319 Unit 3 Landis Ave in Vineland NJ
ACW relaunched on August 12 2023 in Williamstown NJ.
May 18th ACW invaded Williamstown once again at the Pfeiffer Center. The Main event was a historical pairing of ECW Jason Knight, PITBULL #1 Gary Wolf and Mikey Whipwreck. It marked the first time in history all three ECW ORIGINALS are on the same side.
On April 5th 2024 Jason Knight returned officially to the ring for TRIBUTE TO THE EXTREME 2 Pay-Per-View at his beloved ECW Arena (2300 Arena) taking on Joel Gertners personal body guard,, ALVIN Accompanied by legendary Missy Hyatt
